Hall Park

The maintenance of Hall Park is the responsibility of Leeds City Council and we are fortunate to have such good contacts and liaison with the staff there.

We are in frequent contact with Parks & Countryside over various aspects of Horsforth In Bloom involvement within the town and always find them to be of help where they can.

Through an initiative by Alan Gray and later with Jeff Hill we were able to promote and later construct the plastic ‘leaf bins’ within the park that run parallel with Hall Lane.

During 2016 Horsforth in Bloom used some of the leaf mould to replenish planters on Crabtree Land, Town Street.

In March 2023 Horsforth in Bloom planted a tulip trip in remembrance of the late Queen Elizabeth II. One of our members took on the task of watering the tree as June of that year was a very dry one.
